‘NAMELESS/FACELESS’
Years ago I heard a dynamic Christian leader declare that God would raise up a generation of spiritual leaders who would do great exploits for Him & yet remain ‘nameless/faceless’! In reality we only know the names of a limited few of God’s choicest servants! Most of the real spiritual heroes are known to God alone!
Recently, I received a message from a friend that powerfully communicates this truth! He travels widely in sensitive parts of our world & often encounters these ‘ nameless & faceless’ ones. He recently met with a group of young soldiers who are serving in a very hostile place.
Listen to what he writes, ‘These God-fearing troops are amazing. Not only have they started a Christian Fellowship for the soldiers, they have also bought land by a refugee camp, built a school, opened a church on the property, and will shortly add a clinic ALL on their own time and with their own finances. Nameless/Faceless! These young men serve without recognition knowing they will receive their reward from Him!
Ruthanne & I encounter these kinds of leaders everywhere we go, serving in a different context, but serving just the same! For the most part they too will remain ‘nameless/faceless’ – totally unknown to men but truly known to God!
Would you join us in praying for such leaders? Would you renew your covenant to serve God & dare to be a part of this ‘nameless/faceless’ generation?
