Thank The People You Know You Could Call

By Terry Hoggard

Dialing I love the gift of friendship!

In fact, it is on my top 5 list of things that I cherish most!

Ruthanne & I are working with Europaporten Church in Malmo, Sweden as they are revisioning their ministry to the international community. We are making lots of new friends which is really great!

Sweden is now connected to Denmark via an impressive bridge so in about 20 minutes we can go from Malmo to Copenahgen.

In 2004 we worked closely with the church there as they were engaging in a revisioning process as well.

Last Sunday I spoke at Malmo in the morning & at Copenhagen in the afternoon which provided me with the opportunity to enjoy both newly forming friendships as well as long established ones.

Often in the past when Ruthanne & I would talk about how precious our friends were to us we would ask the hypothetical question, ‘If we were stranded here, in desperate need of help & could only make one phone call, who would we call?`

This would begin a process in which we would start calling the names of the people we knew for sure would come to our aid.

In our case the list was long because we have the greatest friends!

Last weekend I was with some of those people I know I could call & it prompted me to want to thank them for their gift of friendship!

It also prompted me to encourage you to do the same!

‘Thank The People You Know You Could CallĀ“- this could be the perfect time for that to happen!
