BECAUSE RELATIONSHIPS MATTER

Collective Impact

This week I was reminded again of the incredible collective impact that our team can have!

We all work hard to develop high impact teams but sometimes we can forget what a blessing from God they are to us as leaders.

Exodus 17:14 says “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it…””

You remember the story…. As long as Moses’ arms were lifted, the Israelites were victorious but when he drops his arms from exhaustion, Joshua’s army begins to lose the battle.

Like all of us as leaders, Moses gets tired. But Aaron and Hur stood on either side and literally held his arms up to God defeating the Amalekites.

It’s important for Joshua to remember this story so that he will not be tempted to think that he won the battle based on his leadership skills alone.

May God help us to remember today that leadership never starts with us. It begins with God and as He anoints our lives, people follow so that together we can make a major spiritual impact!

We’re praying for you and your team this weekend!
