Being Very Present With The Very Presence
Recently I was invited to share a weekend of ministry in Vantaa International Christian Fellowship, which is located in the Helsinki airport area.
As I was waiting for my return flight to Brussels, I picked up a free copy of ‘Via Helsinki’, the magazine for Helsinki Airport travelers, and was provoked by an article about ‘airport cities’.
Tiia Soininen writes about the how city airports are becoming ‘airport cities’.
She describes the area around Helsinki Airport, known as ‘Aviapolis’ as, ‘Finland’s fastest growing business and residential hub, offering jobs for 35,000 people and homes for 17,000. It boasts an English-speaking daycare center and an international school. Jumbo, next to the Flamingo leisure center (with it’s multiplex cinema, spa, restaurants, shopping center and hotel) has grown into the second largest shopping center in Northern Europe.

Being Very Present With The Very Presence!
I know that Vantaa International Christian Fellowship is seeking to be strategically present with the ssupernatural presence of God!
Further, she quotes John D. Kasarda who notes that, ‘cities have always emerged along transport routes. In the 18th century it was harbors, in the 19th century the railroads, in the 20th century the motorways, and now it is airports’.
He illustrates his point by referencing the current developmental impact of ‘airport cities’. Of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport he says, ‘it now serves twice as many visitors a year as Disney World, Elvis Presley’s Graceland and the Grand Canyon combined’.

‘Airport cities’ will increasingly be significant places and we should be strategically present with the supernatural presence of God!
In reality, this is our mandate wherever we are called to serve!
Let’s make it our desire to be:
* Obvious in our ministry expression
* Opportunistic in our ministry efforts
* Open-hearted in our ministry example
Being Very Present With The Very Presence!
Now more than ever, let’s do our very best to be strategically present with the supernatural presence of God!
