BECAUSE RELATIONSHIPS MATTER

I Know You Have Your Christmas Plans But Do You Have Your Christmas Prayer?

The reality for most of us is that while we love Christmas we are often pushed by so many activities that we can easily miss the real ‘reason for the season’.

The coming of Christ into our world & into our lives changes everything!

The prophets proclamations & the angelic announcements all confirm this to us (see Isaiah 9:1-7 & Luke 2:1-15).

With passionate expression they emphasized what the reality of Christ’s coming truly meant by answering these probing questions:

Do you really know Who He is?
Have you understood what He can do for you?
Can you comprehend how that will impact your life?

So …. wouldn’t is be great if during this Christmas season we could have our own words of blessing to speak over all those we love?

‘I Know You Have Your Christmas Plans But Do You Have Your Christmas Prayer?’

If not … what an opportunity that is for us to pursue! To use these days of Christmas to offer a heart-felt Christmas prayer!

To consider all those to whom Christ has not yet come and craft a Spirit-directed, love-inspired prayer for them … a Christmas prayer.

For all those who feel lost & without hope … we pray for our Savior to come.
For all those who feel separated and alone … we pray for Emmanuel to come.
For all those who feel confused … we pray for a Wonderful Counselor to come.
For all those who feel defeated … we pray for Mighty God to come.
For all those who feel abandoned … we pray for Everlasting Father to come.
For all those who feel desperate … we pray for Prince of Peace to come.

‘I Know You Have Your Christmas Plans But Do You Have Your Christmas Prayer?’

I can not think of a greater gift than this!

So just now in this hurried and increasingly commercialized season, take moment to give praise to the Lord for His coming into our world, as well as into your heart!

Then, begin to whisper your very own Christmas prayer!

Now it is Christmas!
