Input Goals
I hope you’ve had a great start to the New Year. Most of us have already been engaged in some form of change or new initiative either personally or in ministry.
How are you doing? Really, how are you doing? How am I doing?
What happens when you and I finish our month of prayer? How do we continue a life that is engaged in the purposes of God and live out His best every day?
One thing we can do is to set input goals and not just output goals.
In other words, we don’t just focus on the outcomes rather input goals that we do every day.
John Maxwell calls it the Law of Five. We don’t do it all day but we do it every day.
If we want to accomplish exercise goals, what do we do every day (input goals) that will help us achieve our desired outcome?
If we want to see the church grow, what should we be doing every day (input goals) that will help us grow?
The truth is, if everything is important, then nothing is important.
I know I’m sounding old but life seems to move faster every year. Let’s focus on input goals today and live every day like we mean it!
We’re praying for you and your team this weekend!
