BECAUSE RELATIONSHIPS MATTER

NEXT … Taking The Journey Together

It is week 42 … and everyone who is connected to FEIC knows that this is our moment to be together!

We will connect in every way possible with those who can physically be with us and celebrate with those who are with us in spirit.

As a relational network, we value time together and we are highly skilled in making the most of every moment … and totally committed to taking the journey together.

And that brings me to the core of what this message is all about.

NEXT … this speaks to movement, a change in position … in my mind I am thinking positive, forward progress but it could also be a step back, or a step in the wrong direction.

The point is that life is not static, we cannot live in a suspended state, something is surely coming … NEXT!

This reality, all by itself, confirms to us the importance of doing life together.

Day after day, we can expect that life will force movement, a change in position. We never know when life will call out to us … to invite us to step up, or to insist that we step back, or to try to intimidate us to step away.

Tantalizing possibilities, thrills, trials, tests and temptations all come our way and make their appeal to us … NEXT!

Life forces us to take all of these things on and there is no way we can do it alone. In good times or bad, whatever is coming NEXT … we need to stay connected to God and close to each other.

This is the beauty of all that FEIC is … a relational network, where we can develop supportive relationships.

There is an expectation that we can do life together.

The truth is, that in walking and serving together we cut our losses in half and we can double our joy in times of celebration.

This is relational wisdom … and more than that it is biblical wisdom!

These are the words of Ecclesiastes 4:9-12  …

“Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie down together, then they keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? And though one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Incredible wisdom here actually … and I hope we can perceive it. Better still, I hope that we will practice it!

NEXT … Taking The Journey Together!

If we get this right, it does not matter what is coming NEXT …  whatever it carries to us, whatever cost it extracts from us, whatever challenge it brings, we can survive it all … together!

I want to encourage you to take this on and I am confident that you will quickly discover the great value in all of this!

To live knowing that God has you covered and your covenant friends have your back, is amazing indeed . When we are together in this way  … we have all that we will ever need.

NEXT … Taking The Journey Together!

This is part of what it means … and as you will soon learn … it also means so much more.
