I Am The Resurrection
I can already feel the excitement and anticipation of Resurrection Sunday! How about you?
Last night in a memorial service we celebrated the life of believer who went home to be with Jesus this week. The family grieves because they miss her but they shared incredible testimonies of hope and confidence that they will see her again because of the resurrection.
Let’s remember – the resurrection changes everything!
As the two disciples were on the road to Emmaus they were talking with Jesus but didn’t realize who he was: “They crucified him; but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel.”
It’s so easy to lose hope when what we expected would happen doesn’t happen. It’s easy to lose hope when the things we trusted in begin to fall apart.
We’ve all watched the news of the bombings in Brussels this week and we can’t help but to think – “When will it stop? How can governments protect their people?”
The reality is there are innumerable uncertainties in life but the greater reality is that Jesus death and resurrection gives us hope and power and peace today!
Jesus is sill the resurrection and the life! That’s what Europe still needs to hear.
We’re praying that the Holy Spirit will anoint your team and services this weekend!
