He Must Increase

It’s inspiring to see everyone commit time and focus at the beginning of 2016 for prayer and fasting. In fact, most of us set aside time at the beginning of every year as we should to seek the Lord and give our first fruits to Him.

The challenge is it must be more than dates on a calendar… it must be transformational as God becomes greater in our lives and we become smaller!

In fact, John the Baptist sums up his testimony about Jesus by simply declaring, “He must become greater, I must become less.”

I remember hearing Michael McNamee say, “The more of Jesus in you, the more He can use. The less of Jesus in you, the less He can use.”

Friends, it really is that simple! We can complicate our lives and ministry with many things but at the end of the day God must become greater and we must become smaller.

The reality is God is already big so the only way for us to have more of God in our lives is to make room. In other words, it’s up to me to determine how much God increases in my life.

We want to encourage you to really make this time of prayer and fasting count! Jesus is near and wants to big in our lives today.
