Live Like You Mean It

We’re already 3 weeks into January! Most of us have been engaged in some form of prayer and fasting. Maybe you’ve started some new goals and are trying to settle into a sustainable rhythm.

How are you doing? Really, how are you doing? How am I doing?

What happens when you and I finish our 21 days of prayer? How do we continue to life that is engaged in the purposes of God and live out His best every day?

I heard Craig Groeschel from Life Church say recently that one thing we can do is to set input goals and not just output goals. In other words, we don’t just focus on the outcomes rather input goals that we do every day.
John Maxwell calls it the Law of Five. We don’t do it all day but we do it every day.

If we want to lose weight, what do we do every day (input goals) that will help us achieve our desired outcome?

If we want to see the church grow, what should we be doing every day (input goals) that will help us grow?

The truth is, if everything is important, then nothing is important.
I know I’m sounding old but life seems to move faster every year. Let’s focus on input goals today and every day that will help us live like we mean it!
