Long-Term Perspective
The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to have a long-term perspective!
I sure wish I had that perspective earlier in life and ministry but the reality is experience has a way of shaping the way you see the future.
We give so much energy every day to what we need to do and rightly so; but as IC leaders in Europe, we must see the long-term goal of what God has called us to do.
Remember, one definition of leadership is that leaders perceive realities that others do not.
We’ve all heard the saying that “leaders see things before others do; they see bigger than others do, and they see beyond what others do.” That’s so true.
Today’s thought: people follow leaders because of their big-picture and long-term perspective.
I encourage you to take a moment today and look forward. Look past your “to-do list” or responsibilities you have this weekend. Look past your dates on the calendar or next big event.
What is God saying to you? Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to give us a long-term perspective for today’s Europe.
We’re praying for you and your team this weekend!
