Go In The Strength You Have
“GO in the strength you have…”
Judges 6:14
I love to read the stories of men and women that God raised up from some of the most unlikely places to accomplish a supernatural purpose.
The book of Judges records a dark time in Israel’s history when God raises up unqualified men and women to deliver His people when they cried out for help.
Gideon was one of those guys.
By his own admission, Gideon came from one of the weakest families in the tribe of Manasseh and even says, “I am the least in my family.”
Have you ever felt like that? The weakest of the weak? The most unlikely person that God would choose or use?
I have! I’m sure you have too…. and yet God uses Gideon to defeat the Midianites and free the nation of Israel from oppression.
Way before his great victory, Gideon asks a question that I guess we’ve all asked at one time or another – “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” Judges 6:13
Instead of some big explanation, the Lord responds to Gideon – “go in the strength you have…am I not sending you?”
That’s the reality where we find ourselves many times. We know God can do great things and yet we don’t see it. We don’t have enough resources. We feel powerless. We even ask, “why is this happening?”
In those moments, God simply says, “God in the strength you have…”
We may not feel powerful, but remember, God has called you! He is sending you!
So let’s go, and may the Lord raise us up and empower us for His supernatural purposes.
Praying for you and your team this weekend!
